Company History
The original design for Cronapress pressure activated panic alarm strip was first manfactured in the late 1940's by its inventor, a Mr S G McCrone. Production moved to Crosthwaite, near Kendal in the English Lake District, in 1956 when demand for the alarm strip required full time production on an efficient scale.
The company changed hands in 1989 and was acquired by the current owners in 1991, with a move to the Group premises in Guiseley in 1994.
The large manufacturing premises, with full facilities for design and build, including electronic circuitry, are close to Leeds Bradford International Airport.

Recognised quality assurance standards have been in place since 1994 and the current standard is ISO 9001.
